I just laughed the hardest I’ve laughed in quite some time…thank you Tim Hardaway.  I’m sure you’ve heard about NBA retiree John Amaechi who recently came out of the closet.  Well, in a recent interview via a radio station in Miami, Hardaway said among other things, “I hate gay people.” 

Disregarding the political aspect of homosexuality, what makes this so amusing is a person in Tim’s position making those comments.  Sometimes you need to be a little bit more aware of what’s going on.  “I don’t like gay people and I don’t like being around gay people.”  Clearly his years in the spotlight and on television in his retirement days have done him no good.  Hardaway has ruined his post-playing career.  You won’t be seeing him on NBA Fastbreak, or on Miami television trying to dissect Shaq’s newest post move, or chatting it up on the local radio stations.  More likely, you’ll see him apologizing on the radio, on tv and in the newspaper for a week or two then we probably won’t here much about Timmy for a while.

Congratulations Tim you’ve successfully limited your career to doing commercials for foot warmers in your 60s.
